JADE HURLEY O.A.M. is the ULTIMATE "Aussie" SHOWBUSINESS SURVIVOR
He is the undisputed “KING” of COUNTRY and ROCK ‘N’ ROLL music in Australasia.
It was the legendary Johnny Cash who stated quite openly that Jade was the best act he had ever worked with and was quoted in the Irish Press as saying ... "If I wasn't who I am, I would find it very hard to follow him on any stage anywhere in the world ... he's one hell of a showman and entertainer this Aussie ... and he can sure play that damn piano".
EVERY album this unique “piano pumping/country rocker” has recorded has achieved GOLD, PLATINUM, or DOUBLE PLATINUM status. Likewise his two great VIDEO’S have also received “GOLD” and "PLATINUM" awards ... and his AUTOBIOGRAPHY (JADE - THE JADE HURLEY STORY) sold over 32,000 copies.
From the first minute he hits the stage for his two-hour show, long standing fans whose ages range from 9 to 90 (including the BABY BOOMERS he refers to as "RE-CYCLED TEENAGERS"), plus those seeing his show for the first time he refers to as his “JADE HURLEY VIRGINS” ... he has a lot of fun with the total audience. They clap their hands, they stamp their feet, and they rock and sway from side to side and sing along with every song as well as laugh their heads off at some of Jade’s “comical antics”.
It’s no wonder, as this “country-rock and show-biz experience” includes classics like "ROCKIN' ALL OVER THE WORLD" and “OLD TIME ROCK & ROLL” … Johnny Preston’s “RUNNING BEAR” … Buddy Holly’s “OH BOY” and “PEGGY SUE” … Little Richard’s “LUCILLE” … Jerry Lee Lewis’s “GREAT BALL OF FIRE” … Del Shannon’s “RUNNAWAY” … Chuck Berry’s “SWEET LITTLE SIXTEEN” … and the Eddie Hodges novelty hit “I’M GONNA KNOCK ON YOUR DOOR” among dozens of others.
In between, he slows the show down with Roy Orbison’s “CRYING” and “LEAH”, Jim Reeves number 1 “HE’LL HAVE TO GO”... and his latest show stopper "YOU RAISE ME UP". Then there are Jade’s own number 1 hits including “DOWN IN THE RIVERINA” and “IT’S ALL OVER NOW”.
As well as being a headline act in his own right, Jade Hurley has toured with some of the all time greats including America's JOHNNY and JUNE CARTER CASH, JOHNNY RAY, WOODY HERMAN and DON WILLIAMS, as well as the late JOHNNY O'KEEFE throughout Ireland, America, New Zealand and Australia.
In America Jade was billed as a cross between Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, and Liberace. Jerry Lee, because of his energetic piano antics like jumping all over his piano and kicking the keys with his feet (like Jerry Lee used to do but this Aussie rocker still does) ... Little Richard because just like Richard, Jade Hurley always makes a great and controversial headline ... and Liberace, because of his flamboyant and glittery sequin stage outfits combined with $250,000 worth of diamond, sapphire, and ruby jewellery … and the energy with every show many critics describe as “breathtaking” and wonder how he does it performing so many shows.
One respected American journalist wrote ... QUOTE “Every time you see this Aussie Jade Hurley rocking away and jumping all over his piano, you get the same high class performance ... I just don’t know how he does it or where he gets the energy from” ... end quote.
It has long been acknowledged by many that this “Aussie King of Country Rock” is the "ULTIMATE SHOWMAN", and it has also been stated by some of the greatest critics in the world of show biz that JADE HURLEY is quote ... “The hardest act for anyone to follow on stage”.

Hi Folks
I hope you had a great time over the Easter break. On Easter Saturday I had my show at Bankstown Sports Club … and if you want a REAL experience … any time you have an opportunity to go to this club … it is like something you will only see in Las Vegas … but on a mini scale ... and the show was great.
We had a really FANTASTIC show on New Years Eve at Blacktown Workers Club in Sydney … and my back-up singer of many years J.J. HORNE was a real hit on the night … boy … what a great time was had by all … and it was a full house with all 600 people up on their feet with the longest conga line when I sang “RUNNING BEAR”. It is such a great club.
Early January I was invited to perform at the Wauchope Country Music Festival … and it was just the greatest time … and it gave me the opportunity to once again catch up with my great mate FRANK IFIELD. He is such a nice guy and gentleman … and as usual, he gave his all to helping run the festival in the most professional manner. Please give this some thought next January … just before the Tamworth Country Music Festival … as Wauchope is such a lovely town with all facilities … and the festival is certainly one of the best organised and run.
Then it was on to Tamworth … and the constant complaints from fans of the re-occurrence from year to year of the blatant rip-offs from the motels and hotels (some hotels and motels inflate the prices, by in some cases, DOUBLE the price of a room for the night during the festival) … and in the case of drinks in some hotels, well the same happens … the prices are jacked up to rip off the fans … and as soon as the festival is over … the accommodation and drinks prices revert back to normal.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH GREEDY BUSINESSES IN TAMWORTH.
When will you ever learn that if you keep your prices REASONABLE … the fans will keep coming back … and they will stay longer … because their disposable dollar will go further over a longer period … hence all these businesses will do better in the long run. Not rocket science … just common sense.
PLUS …it was a bit of a bummer compared to other years … as the number of people in town for the Country Music Festival was estimated to be half the anticipated 50,000 (the opinion of some police) … and unfortunately, politics played a part with the infiltration of a few mainstream entertainers and their management using a couple of prominent country music singers to hone in to get a piece of the action (and of course … the country fans money). Sad really when you consider that some of these country music stars openly promote this association … whilst at the same time are naïve to the fact that the very mainstream stars they invite onto their records and shows in Tamworth and maybe a couple of other instances, wouldn’t have a bar of reciprocating … because reality is that the average mainstream fan doesn’t … and never will … relate to country music.
Controversy and conflict never solved a problem … but right now, it is common belief that the Tamworth Country Music Festival has many problems which need addressing urgently by some competent organisers.
Recently, I did a cruise on the Pacific Dawn out of Brisbane … and it was FANTASTIC. Boy, this is the way to go for a holiday as when you get on the ship, you unpack you bags once … then pack them up again when getting off the ship … and getting around the ship is so easy with lifts everywhere and everything was top class … the food and all facilities were just first class … and must say that the two shows I did were a real “hoot”. I am so looking forward to the next time.
Speaking of cruising … the “BLUE SUEDE CRUISE” is coming up in November … and with over a dozen top rock ‘n’ roll stars and bands performing for the week we are on board … what a great event this is shaping up to be … and the ship “RHAPSODY OF THE SEAS” is one of the best. I am still working on tracks for a new CD … and when I get closer with this I will let everyone know … however I have been performing a few new songs which will be on the new CD, in my shows of late … and the reaction has been really fantastic.

If you are not aware ... there is a family in Queensland that is missing one of it's members.
His name is Daniel Morcombe .. and he has been missing now for almost 4 YEARS.
Please have a GOOD look at the photo below. HAVE YOU SEEN DANIEL?
The police now think two men were probably involved, together with a "blue car" similar to the photo above.
Sending out emails may hopefully trigger someone's memory, or someone's conscience, and makes the image of Daniel and the "blue car" above more memorable ... so it would be greatly appreciated if you could copy this plea ... and paste it into a new email ... and send this to all your email contacts, friends, relatives and business contacts, in the hope that someone will be able to provide the missing clue that the police are looking for.
Please do your best to get this message and photographs to as many folk as you can.
Print it out and hang it on your fridge ... in your office ... on the telegraph pole in front of your home ... indeed anywhere that people will maybe stop and look ... THEN THINK.
