JADE HURLEY O.A.M. is the ULTIMATE "Aussie" SHOWBUSINESS SURVIVOR
He is the undisputed “KING” of COUNTRY and ROCK ‘N’ ROLL music in Australasia.
It was the legendary Johnny Cash who stated quite openly that Jade was the best act he had ever worked with and was quoted in the Irish Press as saying ... "If I wasn't who I am, I would find it very hard to follow him on any stage anywhere in the world ... he's one hell of a showman and entertainer this Aussie ... and he can sure play that damn piano".
EVERY album this unique “piano pumping/country rocker” has recorded has achieved GOLD, PLATINUM, or DOUBLE PLATINUM status. Likewise his two great VIDEO’S have also received “GOLD” and "PLATINUM" awards ... and his AUTOBIOGRAPHY (JADE - THE JADE HURLEY STORY) sold over 32,000 copies.
From the first minute he hits the stage for his two-hour show, long standing fans whose ages range from 9 to 90 (including the BABY BOOMERS he refers to as "RE-CYCLED TEENAGERS"), plus those seeing his show for the first time he refers to as his “JADE HURLEY VIRGINS” ... he has a lot of fun with the total audience. They clap their hands, they stamp their feet, and they rock and sway from side to side and sing along with every song as well as laugh their heads off at some of Jade’s “comical antics”.

In between, he slows the show down with Roy Orbison’s “CRYING” and “LEAH”, Jim Reeves number 1 “HE’LL HAVE TO GO”... and his latest show stopper "YOU RAISE ME UP". Then there are Jade’s own number 1 hits including “DOWN IN THE RIVERINA” and “IT’S ALL OVER NOW”.
As well as being a headline act in his own right, Jade Hurley has toured with some of the all time greats including America's JOHNNY and JUNE CARTER CASH, JOHNNY RAY, WOODY HERMAN and DON WILLIAMS, as well as the late JOHNNY O'KEEFE throughout Ireland, America, New Zealand and Australia.

Little Richard because just like Richard, Jade Hurley always makes a great and controversial headline ... and Liberace, because of his flamboyant and glittery sequin stage outfits combined with $250,000 worth of diamond, sapphire, and ruby jewellery … and the energy with every show many critics describe as “breathtaking” and wonder how he does it performing so many shows.
One respected American journalist wrote ... QUOTE “Every time you see this Aussie Jade Hurley rocking away and jumping all over his piano, you get the same high class performance ... I just don’t know how he does it or where he gets the energy from” ... end quote.

Hi again Folks
Firstly, let me say how difficult it has been having the full knee replacement. How some folk have these prosthesis replacements in both knees (at the same time) I just can’t imagine … as the pain I have had to endure with one knee is just so bad. Some people say I am a “SOOK” … but really, it is such a painful procedure … and others who have had the operation say it is 6 to 12 months before you wake up one day and don’t notice it … and there is not much pain.
However I am slowly weaning myself off the dreadful painkillers like Endone and Oxycondone … which are both derivatives of Morphine … and they make me feel so unwell and sick most of the time … but as they are the only things that give pain relief, I have to take them … mainly to get through the night to get some quality sleep. I just live for the day when I can get through a day and night without taking one.
Well, I did my first show after the operation at Balgowlah RSL club in Sydney which was a fundraiser organised by the Northern Beaches Country Music Club for Cancer. My DJ mate Barry Williams asked me to do this quite a while ago and it was rather funny wandering out on stage with my walking stick to perform … but it happened … and everyone at the sell-out show was really understanding of the circumstances which was great.
One of my great mates and true country music legends (FRANK IFIELD) was there as well. Frank is patron of the Club. He is always a joy to be around. Thank you Frank for gracing us with your attendance.
The following Saturday (the 20th November) we boarded the beautiful ship “Rhapsody Of The Seas” in Sydney for the BLUE SUEDE CRUISE. Other performers included Max Pellacano … Elvis To The Max”, The Beatnix, The Fabulous Singlettes, The Memphis Movers, The Chevrolets, The Highlights, Lonnie Lee, Darryl Cotton, Wendy Stapleton, Dean Bourne’s Roy Orbison Tribute, Cornsey’s All Star Rock Band from Adelaide and more … it was such a “HOOT”.
Because the organisers had put a lot of work into planning every show … and the fact that there were shows all over the ship at all hours, we had the opportunity to see every other performer which was great … and I must say that every show and performer was FABULOUS.
I was paid the honour of being asked to do and “ENCORE” show in the main showroom … which was really nice … and everyone had a ball … including myself … even though the ship was experiencing a bit of rough weather at the time … and some of the audience thought that when I stood up with or without my walking stick, that I may end up in the front row with the audience … it was so funny at times.
Let me assure you that trying to perform when the seas are going here, there and elsewhere, is so difficult … but you turn it into a “funny” experience … and every audience sees the funny side of it thankfully.
We berthed at Noumea … but still the weather wasn’t kind … and it blue a gale and poured rain most of the time we were ashore which was unfortunate … and we had to by-pass The Isle Of Pines, once again because of the weather. Oh well … there’s always a next time?
It was such a pleasure to see so many friendship club members onboard … and some I had no idea they would be on the cruise. To those club members … I am not going to name here in case I forget someone … so I hope everyone understands.
We got back to Sydney the following week (27th November) … and it was straight out to Wentworthville Leagues for a great sell-out show. This is one of the great show rooms still left in Sydney.
To the many folk who have sent me get well cards and Christmas cards so early … thank you so much for you thoughts and comments … they are really appreciated.

If you are not aware ... there is a family in Queensland that is missing one of it's members.
His name is Daniel Morcombe .. and he has been missing now for almost 4 YEARS.
Please have a GOOD look at the photo below. HAVE YOU SEEN DANIEL?
The police now think two men were probably involved, together with a "blue car" similar to the photo above.
Sending out emails may hopefully trigger someone's memory, or someone's conscience, and makes the image of Daniel and the "blue car" above more memorable ... so it would be greatly appreciated if you could copy this plea ... and paste it into a new email ... and send this to all your email contacts, friends, relatives and business contacts, in the hope that someone will be able to provide the missing clue that the police are looking for.
Please do your best to get this message and photographs to as many folk as you can.
Print it out and hang it on your fridge ... in your office ... on the telegraph pole in front of your home ... indeed anywhere that people will maybe stop and look ... THEN THINK.
